Daniel Chong: Chief Operations Officer
Daniel, oversees the strategic day-to-day operational planning for the factory. With his keen eye for details and technical planning capabilities, he has contributed significantly to the bottom line in creating efficiencies to decrease cost and maximising output. He also works closely with the Chief Executive Officer on the technical operations of the company’s business. Daniel graduated from the university of Waterloo Ontario, Canada with an Honours degree in Civil Engineering. He also completed the American Institute of Banking programme in Preventative Maintenance. Daniel has worked for AECOM, a United States based Fortune 500 Company as a Transportation Designer, before joining Honey Bun in 2010. He has experience in distribution logistics from his previous employment in Toronto Canada.
Dustin Chong: Chief Sales & Marketing Officer
Dustin joined the company in 2012, as a Regional Sales Manager for select sales routes. In January 2014, he assumed the role of Distribution and Sales Manager. Dustin is in charge of the Management of the entire Sales and Distribution Department, overseeing all sales-related activities with a view to increasing the Company’s sales revenues to meet the agreed business objectives. He is a graduate of the University of the West Indies in Jamaica with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Business Management.
Alex Balogun: Chief Financial Officer
Alex has over 15 years’ experience building and leading high-performance teams and implementing effective systems of controls across organisations. He has a strong background in Financial Accounting, Taxation, Treasury and Business Process Reengineering. As the company’s head of Finance, he is responsible for overseeing the company’s financial strategic planning, evaluating risks and controls, developing budgets and managing profitability.
Prior to joining Honey Bun, Alex worked in various management roles in Banking, Insurance, Manufacturing and Distribution as an Information Technology Consultant at KPMY Peat Marwick. He is a Registered Public Accountant, and a Fellow of both the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Jamaica, and the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (UK).
Paula Graham-Haynes: Corporate Secretary
Currently Paula is appointed to the role of Corporate Secretary. As Corporate Secretary, she plays a major role in keeping with the Company’s commitment to high standards in Corporate Governance. She ensures the integrity of the governance framework and compliance with all relevant statutory and regulatory requirements, as a result of which, the Company has won various Jamaica Stock Exchange awards.
Prior to joining the Honey Bun team, Paula was employed as a Secretariat Manager providing six years of Company Secretarial duties for the Board of Directors of the Media Association Jamaica Limited (MAJ), which consisted of the Heads of the major media Companies in Jamaica, along with the Association’s subsidiary, the Jamaica Debates Commission. She also had a major part to play in coordinating the 2011 and 2016 Debate sessions for the Prime Minister and the Leader of Opposition leading up to elections ensuring the relevant protocols were followed. The nation’s Electoral Debates were facilitated by the Jamaica Debates Commission.
Paula joined the Honey Bun team with over 15 years’ experience in Human Resources occupying senior HR roles in local and international organizations. She is a Certified Behavioural Coach and studied Linguistics at the University of the West Indies.
Wunlym Shim: Information Technology Consultant
Wunlym joined the Honey Bun team in 2007 with a wealth of knowledge and experience in IT and software development. His experience included providing network support and developing software at Innovative Systems Superstore Limited. He manages the Company’s networks, technologies and systems infrastructure. Wunlym implemented software and digital programmes which have contributed to the growth and development of Honey Bun’s innovation and technology.
Marjorie McCalla: International Sales & Marketing Manager
Marjorie was engaged to develop export strategies and expand the Company’s international and hotel industry customer database. Since her employment in 2019 Honey Bun’s export sales have grown over 40% to almost doubling. She has over 30 years’ experience in all facets of local and export sales and marketing and has managed export markets in the USA, Canada and the Caribbean.
Marjorie brings a unique and invaluable combination of expertise and experience to Honey Bun. She effected a considerable increase in export sales during her tenure at LASCO Manufacturing Ltd. Marjorie successfully placed Sangster’s Liqueurs in the Cruise Ship markets. Her experience also included providing business advice to various Associations and Agencies. Along with her studies in Export and Marketing, Marjorie also holds a Bachelor of Arts (Hons.) in Arts and General Studies.
Loriann Tater: Business Development Manager
With over five years’ experience in Brand Management, Marketing, Public Relations and Product Development, Loriann was welcomed to the team in 2019 as Business Development Manager. She has been charged with responsibilities in Marketing and Brand Management. Before joining Honey Bun’s management team, Loriann assisted several brands with the planning, developing and execution of growth strategies to ensure that the brands’ short and long-term goals exceeded expectations. Loriann’s experience included Brand Management at one of the largest international brands, Kraft Foods where she successfully executed growth strategies. Loriann holds an MBA (with distinction) in General Management at the Mona School of Business (UWI).
Khalice Bradshaw-Davis: Human Resource & Development Manager
Khalice is a pragmatic and enterprising professional with ten years of experience in training, coaching, leadership development, culture change. Fourteen-year experience in Participatory and Strategic Planning and policy making. As a certified team builder her ability to forge strong bonds and create sustainable team practices makes her a vital part of any training projects.
After graduating with a B.Sc. in Urban & Regional Planning and Environmental Resource Management, Khalice earned a B.A. in Guidance and Counselling. While studying, she realized that she had a love and passion for human development especially in areas of adult career, counselling, organizational mental health and development. In 2009, she attended the International University of the Caribbean where she earned her Master’s Degree in Counselling consulting/Industrial Psychology.
